Objectives of AO Asia-Pacific (AOAP)
The mission of AOAP is to foster and expand its network of healthcare
professionals interested in education, research, development and clinical
investigation so as to achieve more effective patient care in
Asia-Pacific.
AOAP has the following objectives:
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the global AO network by
establishing a forum of surgeons in the Asian-Pacific region who are interested
in general trauma, cranio-maxillofacial surgery, musculoskeletal disorders and
their treatment and subscribe to the principles and philosophies of the
AO.
- Assure strategic guidance and governance for the group in accordance to the
charters and bylaws of the AO Foundation (AOF).
- Assure the regional educational activities of AOAP are in accordance with
the regional needs and assure their compliance with the priorities set by the
Academic Council of the AOF and with the strategies as defined by the AO
Education Board.
