Anterolateral approach

The anterolateral (acromial) approach (Mackenzie) can be used for various treatments of proximal humeral fractures.
It is especially useful for nailing and osteosynthesis of fractures of the greater tuberosity. It is also recommended for minimally invasive plate osteosynthesis (MIPO).
