Ulnar nails are always inserted in an antegrade fashion with the nail
entry point at the tip of the olecranon process.
Radial nails are always inserted in a retrograde fashion with the
entry point radial to Lister’s tubercle.
The entry point for ulnar nails is almost independent of the specific nail design, but the radial entry point may vary according to the nail design.
