Wedge fracture, fragmentary wedge (AO/OTA 32B3)

print

In fragmentary wedge fractures there is some contact between the proximal and distal fragments after reduction.
Fragmentary wedge fractures often result from moderate injury to the femur. The mechanism is a bending force, usually three points.

Options
1. Proximal 1/3 (AO/OTA 32B3(a))
2. Middle 1/3 (AO/OTA 32B3(b))
3. Distal 1/3 (AO/OTA 32B3(c))
