General considerations

This extremely complex fracture requires great care with accurate reduction and fixation. The navicular has unusual anatomy and its with and length must be restored while at the same time reducing the complex articular surface. The surgeon only has access to the medial and dorsal surfaces for plate fixation.

  • Shortening of medial column of the foot
  • Complex articular injury involving the Lisfranc and/or Chopart joint
