1 General considerations top


This fracture occurs proximal to the insertion of the peroneus brevis on the base of the fifth MT or within the very proximal aspect of the insertion.

2 Nonoperative treatment top


Weight bearing as tolerated in a flat, rigid sole shoe. Rest, ice, elevation and compression for pain and swelling. Low impact activity is allowed until tenderness resolves.
