  • Reduction of the metaphyseal fracture component is aided by the nail itself


  • No exposure for reduction
  • Risk of damage to the axillary nerve
  • Possibility of shoulder pain and impingement
  • Limited exposure of the fracture
  • Inability to reduce and fix the lesser tuberosity
